Ar. Mary Rolyn Ara Torrecampo-Angeles is a Registered Licensed Architect and a member of the UAP Pasig Chapter since 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines and has also undertaken units in Interior Design at the same institution. She is pursuing her Master’s in Environmental Planning at Philippine Christian University. Her dedication to completing her degree in Architecture has been recognized through various awards:

Ar. Ara Angeles began her apprenticeship with A.S. Elgario Construction where the construction company did various collaborations with renowned architects such as Ar. Ramon Antonio and Ar. Ed Calma, where she worked on high-end residential projects in Forbes Park and Dasmariñas Village in Makati, . She further honed her skills when she was chosen to be a part of a mentorship program at Budji Layug + Royal Pineda Architecture & Design Firm, gaining exposure to architectural design, interior design, and material specifications.
After passing the Board Exam, she worked in a corporate setting, beginning her career with IPM Realty and Development, where she focused on affordable housing and mid to high-end projects. Subsequently, she served as a Planning & Design Specialist for Mang Inasal Philippines under Jollibee Foods Corporation, where she gained experience in retail and commercial design. This role helped her develop leadership skills and a strong background in marketing and branding, which are crucial in a fast-paced industry. After four years with JFC Group, she was appointed Project Manager/In-House Architect at Chatime Philippines. Her diverse experiences encompass architectural design, residential design (high-end, mid-range, and budget-friendly), architectural interiors, materials and specifications, retail and restaurant design, food safety, realty and development, construction, project management, and construction quality audit.
In April 2019, Ar. Torrecampo-Angeles took a significant leap of faith by establishing her private practice, Arki Ara Design. She also began vlogging on YouTube (YT Channel: ARKI ARA DESIGN) and created a Facebook page to raise awareness and promote the architectural profession in the Philippines, sharing insights about its significance. Additionally, she is committed to mentoring future architects, guiding them in grasping the subtleties of this esteemed profession.

Service to the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) and Community Ar. Torrecampo-Angeles has served two terms as Chapter President (2022-2024). Under her leadership, the UAP Pasig Chapter was accredited as a Civil Society Organization in Pasig City. Her involvement in civil society initiatives has enhanced the visibility of architects in the local government and the community.
Her contributions include:
• Member of the City Development Council
• Elected Sectoral Chairman for Housing in the City Development Council
• Member of the P4 Steering Committee for the construction of the New
Pasig City Hall
• Member of the Technical Working Group for updating the zoning
ordinance of the Pasig LGU
• Fellow of the Pasig City CSO Academy, Batch 2
Ar. Ara’s engagement with grassroots communities via civil society organizations has fostered partnerships and collaborations among persons with disabilities. This collaboration has aided the sector in implementing BP344, and UAP Pasig successfully conducted various accessibility audits within Pasig. During her second term as Chapter President, she also served as a District Secretary under Past District Director Ar. Francis Lloyd Baclit for FY 2023-2024. By the end of her second term, the UAP Pasig Chapter was recognized as the Most Outstanding UAP Chapter in Group 1. In 2024, the chapter received numerous awards at the UAP National Awards, including:
• Most Outstanding National Architecture Week (Tindig Para sa Ilog Pasig)
• 2nd Runner Up for the Most Outstanding Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) Program (Connect the Dots)
• 2nd Runner Up for the Most Outstanding Bayanihang Arkitektura
• 2nd Runner Up for the Most Outstanding Chapter President
Due to her exemplary service, she was appointed as Co-Chairman for the Philippine Architecture Festival 2024 and currently serving as Area A Secretary for FY 2024-2025 under Area A Vice President Ar. Joey Manalad.
